Laze

Two bedrooms is better than one!

The Laze is one of our larger garden annexes, boasting the flexibility to be any living space to support your needs. With 2 bedrooms, a shower room, a kitchenette and a lounge as standard, the Laze garden annexe is perfect for a young family, an Air BnB for customers with children, or a space for multiple adults.

Like all our annexes, there’s plenty of avenues for customisation. Instead of a second bedroom you might consider a larger lounge or convert the kitchenette to a full sized kitchen. The Laze, is ideal for those looking for a versatile annexe that is the ultimate living and relaxing space outside of the main property.

Planning permission required

Annexes are ‘habitable’ spaces, and they may require planning permission. Although this makes the project timelines longer than Garden Rooms, the benefit of having the options of living and sleeping in them is a huge benefit.

Do you have a question?

  • Do I need to get planning permission for a garden room?

In most cases, our standard garden room buildings (up to 30sq metres) do not require planning permission as they are built to comply with permitted development rights. However, rooms that are ‘habitable’ such as bedrooms, do require planning permission and building regulations.

  • What is the difference between a garden annexe and garden room?

Put simply, a garden annexe is a ‘habitable room’ meaning it contains living accommodation. Due to this, planning permission will need to be obtained and building regulations approval will also be required, but don’t worry we can help with all this. The construction of the building is also modified to adhere to all of the above.

  • Are these buildings warm enough in the winter?

Absolutely! Our garden rooms and annexes are designed for year-round use, and are well insulated and come with an electric heater.

  • Are electrics included?

We included all electrics in our garden rooms. Hooking the electrics to the main property is an optional extra which can be quoted for prior to the project start date.
