An extra bedroom The Sanctuary is an ideal annexe for those who simply need an additional sleeping space. A more cost-effective way to increase bedrooms on your property than moving house, the Sanctuary is a popular choice. This annexe comes with an open plan bedroom/living room and a bathroom as standard. As for the finishing touches, the choice is yours! Being our smallest annexe, coming in at 15sqm – 20.5sqm, customisation is largely in your finishing touches rather than functionality. We design for what you require, so speak to us and we can work out what floor plan works for your, the choice really is yours. 03 Planning permission required Annexes are ‘habitable’ spaces, so they may require planning permission. Although this makes the project timelines longer than our custom made Garden Rooms, the benefit of having the options of living and sleeping in these bespoke built rooms is a huge benefit.
In most cases, our standard garden room buildings (up to 30sq metres) do not require planning permission as they are built to comply with permitted development rights. However, rooms that are ‘habitable’ such as bedrooms, do require planning permission and building regulations.
Our custom rooms and annexes are typically built between 7-10 working days, depending on the specification.
